The two cars sponsored by Metalcaucho finished in 8th and 43rd place after 6 very long stages in the deserts of Morocco

Metalcaucho, a TERREPOWER brand of aftermarket rubber and metal spare parts for the automotive sector, announces the good results of their sponsored team in the Panda Raid race. Once again this year, the two cars of the Sant Cugat team have managed to finish the race. The team formed by Ubald de Azpiazu and Alex Camps achieved a meritorious eighth place, while the team of Joan Molinera and Lluís Xicoy finished in 43rd place among 238 vehicles registered in the two-wheel drive section (4X2).

This year the toughness of the race put drivers and their cars to the test. Very long stages a lot of sand, and short times to rest gave drivers little between stages. At the end of the race, the team was completely satisfied, as they managed to finish all the Panda Raid in which they have participated,

Metalcaucho is proud to once again contribute its grain of sand to a solidarity project such as the Panda Raid race. Through the Sant Cugat team, which it has sponsored in previous editions, Metalcaucho collaborates with this amateur rally committed to the natural and social environment.

For the 16th edition, a route has been planned from coast to coast, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. Panda Raid began in Almeria (Spain), and through 6 beautiful stages they crossed large open spaces and deserts of Morocco. Finally and as a novelty, the city of Mehdia on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean put the finishing touch to this edition.

In this race, Metalcaucho see similar values:

  • Initiative and creativity: It’s in extreme situations that the ability to adapt to change and make quick decisions comes to the fore.
  • Teamwork: The objective in this race is not to win, but to enjoy and test yourself, with a common goal, to finish it. That is why solidarity is a constant, as when towing another participant to the finish line, because they don’t see each other as rivals, but as companions.
  • Circular economy: The organization collaborates in solidarity and sustainable projects, such as the construction of schools, or promoting beekeeping for the maintenance of biodiversity.
